Film production tender opportunity
We’re looking for a film-maker to work with us on an exciting project starting this spring.
We’ll be following the renovation of a house in Appleby that was flooded during Storm Desmond in 2015, capturing footage to show its journey to being a warm, dry home that’s #ReadyForRain. The film-maker will capture all the main stages of the build, creating fortnightly video diaries so that the public can follow progress. We’ll also have some short films bringing out important aspects of the build, to help householders make their own homes more resilient to rain, flood and other extreme weather.
It’s all possible thanks to funding from Historic England, as part of the Appleby Heritage Action Zone.
For full details about the filming requirements, please download the tender document:
We realise that the project involves regular visits to Appleby, so if you’re based outside the area and would struggle to capture the footage needed, we’re willing to consider splitting the contract between capture and production. We’re also mindful that the budget for the project is limited, so we welcome responses to the tender that specify what you could and couldn’t do for the budget given.
The deadline for responses is 9am on Tuesday 17 April 2018.
