CAfS: Cold to Cosy Homes
This part of the Sustain Eden project launched during winter 2013 with CAFS offering free draughtproofing to vulnerable householders, including older or less able members of the community. Tradespeople have been specially trained on the principles of draught prevention and how to install specific draught prevention measures to maximum effect. For more details on our free draughtproofing service, click here.
A series of events throughout the Eden area will offer advice on utility bills, advising on how to switch energy suppliers for a cheaper tariff and reduce fuel bills.
Alongside these hands-on activities, research will be carried out into the most effective draught proofing measures, for instance, door seals, draught excluders, sealing gaps, keyhole covers and open chimney flues
